Recorded in 1974 for what would have been his seventh studio album ‘Seven Come Eleven’ but not released until 1993 under the title ‘The Nashville Sessions’ (for complex business reasons) it’s a brilliant introduction to one of America’s most undervalued songwriters, as well as one that truly taps into the aesthetic of the ‘troubadour singer-songwriter’.
