Despite the music press initially declaring this compilation of singles and B-Sides '"inessential", fans soon grew to love The World Won't Listen as it offered a new selection of mixes including the singles "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out" and "You Just Haven't Earned It Yet, Baby".
Indeed, the title picked by Morrissey, represented the bands frustrations of the music industry of the time and being The Smiths they reacted in the only way they knew how. Directly through their music and now iconic artwork.
