Lungfish

Lungfish released their eighth album in 2000 — a hypnotic, tightly coiled work of minimalist post-hardcore. Driven by Daniel Higgs’ commanding, ritualistic vocal delivery and Asa Osborne’s looping, mantra-like guitar patterns, the record locks into deep grooves that feel both ascetic and ecstatic. Rounded out by Nathan Bell on bass and Mitchell Feldstein on drums, it’s a stark and powerful transmission from one of the most singular bands on the Dischord roster.
