Don Cherry

Symphony For Improvisers as well as seeing Don Cherry sporting a magnificent technicolour jumper on the sleeve art was his 1966 album which had him working with a bigger-than-usual group of musicians. Pharoah Sanders, Henry Grimes and Ed Blackwell all feature on a work that, whilst passionate and vibrant, had more subtle compositions.
