GRYTT
GRYTT
Debut release from Geelong's power packed trio of seasoned Rock stompers feat: 'Lightning' Ben Watkins (ex- Warped), Buzz Munday (ex- Bored!) and Adam Doherty (ex- Spaghetti Westerns). Grytt blend oz-rock sonics with proto-punk attitude and noisy alternative. Grytt's self-titled, debut album sounds like Lemmy played wet nurse to the child of Husker Du and Wipers. Buzz's incredible and relentless drumming providing a clattery backdrop of 'graveyard-shift-at-the-foundry'-style pummeling as a vehicle for Ben and Ads' solipsistic and a-rhythmical guitar and bass flailing's and a collective, spirited series of fatuous lyrical declarations declaimed with such intensity that they sound positively life enhancing; their down and dirty, sea-faring strut is a catchy slab o'distortion driven melodic heaviness, that is, these Aussie's prove once and for all that their sense of dynamic is both intenser and immenser than the other kids on the block!
