Rush
Rush
Rush’s self-titled debut introduces the Canadian trio with a raw, blues-rock–driven sound rooted in heavy riffs, extended jams, and high-energy performances. Fronted by Geddy Lee’s piercing vocals and powered by Alex Lifeson’s gritty guitar work and John Rutsey’s hard-hitting drums, the album leans more toward early hard rock than the progressive style the band would soon define. Tracks like “Working Man” became sleeper hits and helped establish Rush as a formidable live band on the North American rock circuit.
