Brazilian composer and musician Arthur Verocai’s eponymous 1972 debut is a masterpiece that made little impact on its original release. But thanks to a reissue and its discovery by various hip-hop producers, such as the dearly departed MF Doom, its genius enjoyed a second light. That led to this live performance of the album in 2009, featuring an ensemble cast of players and vocalist conducted, then mixed, by Verocai himself.
